How to know that it's time to update your headshot!

#1 - Your hairstyle has changed.

#2 - Your headshot is several years old - maybe even 10 years old.  (Don't go more than 5!)

#3 - Confidence shows - It's been a couple of years and you've grown in confidence. 

#4 - Your background needs a new look.  Some backgrounds date a photo as much as a hairstyle.

#5 - It's just stale - when the same image is seen over and over again, it gets passed by as no longer important.

With businesses so intertwined with a digital presence, fresh headshot images are more important than ever.  Your customers like variety when they're reviewing your business. 

When you update your headshot, seriously consider getting several images from your session.  Your image is needed for your Social Media profiles, newsletters or blog posts, your bio and more. 

When you're with your photographer, talk about a variety of poses and looks that will elevate your image in your business collateral - digital and printed.

Would a Branding Session be perfect for you?  A Branding session is a "lifestyle session for your business".  It is a more robust session which can incorporate iconic "tools" representing your business' culture.

Whether you need just one classic headshot, a small variety of headshots, or a full brand image portfolio, be sure to update your images on a regular basis.  That could be yearly, every two years or so.  But don't go more than 5 years.  As we age, it is important that our business images follow along for the ride.  You do want to look your best in your professional images, but an image from when you were younger does not reflect the best of who you are today.
